Professional Experience

As part of the INTRA program offered by DCU, I was able to experience working as a tax associate for a year. I worked in the CIM Tax Department at KPMG. During my time there I greatly improved my communication, time management and public-speaking ability.

My first real job was in Woodies on the Naas Rd. I credit my time spent there for my people skills. Learning how to keep both the customers and my colleagues happy was how I learned to multi-task and how to work under pressure.

Business Analytics

First in Excel, and then in PowerBI I learned that I loved design. The process of moulding a lump of data into a clear and concise message is like art to me.

The ease of use of the interpretive code and the size of the development community mean that the possibilities are endless with Python. The unlimited creativity of Python is what really appeals to me and is why I enjoy working with it.

More About Me

I am a 22-year-old undergraduate, currently in my final year of Business Studies at DCU. I have accounting and tax consulting experience, and chose Data Analytics in my final year because of my peronsal interest and to round out my skillset.

To me, Data Analysis is another form of problem solving. I find the process of piecing together data insights into a picture of understanding is very enjoyable. The Learning Curve of Statistics, Data Science and Software Engineering is steep, but with that I find that the more I learn the more I enjoy analytics. When it comes to projects like the design of this website, the journey has provided me satisfaction than the destination ever could.

Personally I enjoy trying new things and having new experiences. During this semester I took up running instead of going to the gym, I can confirm the runner's high is a real thing. I also started attending Live Comedy shows and was pleasantly surpised to discover the quality of the live scene in Dublin.

At Christmastime my neighbour knocked on the door and asked me if a kitten they had found was belonged to me, I said I would look after it for a few days. Since then Guinness has been costing me a fortune at the vet.
